The Financial Asset Tokenisation: Regulatory Implications and Supervisory Readiness Workshop, held on 23 November 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, brought together securities regulators to explore the evolving landscape of financial asset tokenisation and its regulatory and supervisory implications. The workshop examined key technical, legal and market considerations, as well as the application of IOSCO Principles and recommendations to tokenised markets and decentralised finance.

Through expert presentations, interactive discussions and a supervisory roundtable, participants exchanged practical experiences and considered approaches to strengthening regulatory frameworks and supervisory readiness in response to the opportunities and risks arising from tokenisation.
