About the IOSCO Asia Pacific Hub

The IOSCO Asia Pacific Hub, established in March 2017, is IOSCO’s first and only presence outside of its headquarters in Madrid. Located in Kuala Lumpur, and hosted by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), the Hub serves as a key regional center for strengthening the regulatory and supervisory capacity of securities regulators across the Asia Pacific region and beyond.

In response to the evolving challenges of increasingly complex financial markets, technological innovation, and cross-border activity, the Hub provides tailored capacity building initiatives. By drawing on the collective expertise of IOSCO’s global membership, the Hub offers a broad range of education, training, and technical assistance programs, including in-person seminars, workshops, and live webinars, alongside a wealth of on-demand resources.

Since becoming operational, the Hub has served over 3,000 participants from more than 120 jurisdictions, supporting regulators in their efforts to enhance market development, foster regional collaboration, and uphold internationally recognized regulatory standards.

As part of IOSCO's global commitment to effective regulation and supervision, the Asia Pacific Hub continues to play a vital role in advancing regulatory capacity across the region, building stronger, more resilient capital markets for the future.
